Posted: 06 Feb 2009 Post subject: Joe used my "Let's Get This" sign in Amsterdam!
Ladies,
I'm not a Joe-girl, but I was prepared for the Amsterdam Show!
I had made a "Let's Get This" sign on Monday at work, just in case...
I stood 2nd row in front of the right upper-stage.
Because of all the YouTube vids I had seen, I knew when to get my sign out.
So, Joe started talking about the new phenomenon... he didn't say the words yet, but was scanning the crowd and when he looked in my direction, I shot my sign up in the air, just on que for him to yell: Let's Get This! While he pointed at my sign.
He walked over to our way and asked the security guy to pass the sign. When he got it, he looked at me and asked:
"Where are you from?" (probably because I was sporting my Celtics cap and shirt he could think I was from the USA, or Boston even?)
I yelled: "From the South of Holland!"
Joe: "South of Holland?"
Me: "YES!"
He joked: "SoHo?"
Then he started his talk about Let's get this...
After his talk he placed the sign on the bands stage.
Later on, Donnie was checking out the sign.. (I wrote an extra message on the back for them) and after they finished Step By Step and were on the lift to go down, Donnie picked something up from the ground and when the lift decended he shot my sign up in the air!(I have no idea how the sign got there), but MY SIGN WENT WITH THEM BACKSTAGE!!!!

i love them so much!!! it makes the show so much more personal when they do things like this for us.

Hi Girlie! That was your sign?! COOL!!!!!! I did see it go down the stage with them, very good job!
It was nice to briefly meet you outside.... o man, it was soooooooo cold!!!!!!!! But all worth it!

They still didn't do anything with the info though... guess they threw it away afterwards... lol
